Mr. Vincent Chambers
Vincent Augustus Chambers, affectionately known as "Bug Heart," age 76, of Deltona, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at AdventHealth Fish Memorial.
Born on October 15, 1947, in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Vincent was the son of Ida and James Chambers. He will be remembered for his candid yet witty personality and generous spirit. Vincent was dedicated to serving his community through his work as a Greyline tour bus driver, a dump truck driver for Silver Sand Trucking, and in landscaping. He had a passion for travel and cherished spending time with loved ones, especially over meals featuring his beloved Jamaican cuisine. Vincent was an active member of the Church of God of Prophecy, where he participated in Bible studies, prayer meetings, and social gatherings.
Vincent is survived by his sons, Lincoln (Bob) Chambers, James Chambers, Anthony (Joe) Chambers, and adopted son Jerry Chambers; his daughters, Yvette (Stephanie) Chambers-Watson, Georgia Chambers, and adopted daughters Theresa Chambers-Mott and Tracy Chambers. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, including Terence Buckley, Shelly-Ann Watson, Kerisha Watson-Barker, Antonette Chambers, Anthony Chambers Jr., Spyncer Chambers, Braxton Chambers, Chance Chambers, Brooklyn Chambers, Ava Chambers, Cato Brown, Jermal Chambers, Chavela Chambers, Norris Mott Jr., Bridgett Mott, Akyra Sealy, and Majahri Sumpter, as well as great-grandchildren Braxton Chambers Jr., Triston Rodriguez, Charlotte Buckley, and Brianna Buckley. Vincent is also survived by his sibling, Conroy Parchment.
A funeral service will be held at the Church of God of Prophecy, 1106 E. Minnesota Ave., Deland, on September 21, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., officiated by Pastor David Dixon. Vincent will be laid to rest at Deland Memorial Gardens, 600 E. Beresford Ave., Deland, FL 32724, at 12:00 p.m.
